This is really less of a WordPress blog and more of a place for me to leave notes about things that I’ve puzzled through and didn’t want to lose, and may save somebody else some time.
Feel free to make comments if you come across this site, but I haven’t posted here frequently so know that there isn’t a great pool of contributors that will come across the post.
I’ve been working in IT for around 17 years.
I work as a Technical Account Manager at VMware. I was previously an IT consultant focusing on availability and security in the SMB market, and a Sr Systems Engineer for a large non profit and an MSP in Cleveland. This blog is my own adventure and does not necessarily reflect the views of the company that I work for. If by some strange twist of fate, I start to amass followers, I will probably consider relating this site to work in some way, but for now I’m not really positive what I plan on posting here.
I hold a MS in Information Security and Assurance, a BS in CIS, a BS in IT Security, VCP in Vsphere 4, 5 and 6, GIAC ISO 27000 certification, MCITP in SQL2008, CCNA, CCNA Security and many other peripheral certifications from Microsoft, Comptia, EC-Council and others.
When I started this WordPress site I was trying to bring some focus to my background, and was wrestling with the idea of graduate school. There were quite a few technical certifications that I wanted to be taking tests for but time and money prohibited.
Mainly because of time constraints I haven’t posted often, but looking back there is nothing that I’m ashamed of, yet.
At this point, what I’m planning on posting here, are useful links for myself and notes for which I have no effective forum.
I’m hoping that this will ultimately serve as KB articles for my life.
